I have been going to Water Star Motors for the past 5 years and I do not consider myself a "green person". Yes, I just outed myself in one of the most "green" city in California. It's okay, I am not worried because, since going to Water Star Motors I am becoming a "greener" person and am proud of it. Henry and Lisa Carter are the owners and get this, Lisa is a certified mechanic, my type of gal! They were the first Santa Cruz City Certified Green Business and State of California Certified Green Business. Henry has 30 years working as a professional technician and Hybrid vehicle class certified. How do I know this well, their little office, which is not fancy but who cares when you know the job is being done right, well the office has a ton of certification plaques on the walls. I work in health care and i am into certifications, quality means something to me. I also listen to talk radio, not sure if that helps me be greener or not but Henry and Lisa are the co-creator of "If My Car Could Talk" radio. show. Where else can you get the boss son, Dan, to drive you to work in the morning and be on time! I'm happy my Car-ma and my growing "Greenness" are doing great!

Henry is the best mechanic on the planet, he does a excellent job of keeping my ML320 up and running since 2006. He and Lisa are always friendly and quite considerate when it comes to giving you your options and letting you know the true costs.

Our car's recent maintenance visit to Water Star Motors was another in a long line of satisfying experiences. Our car was originally scheduled to have an regular service/oil change in September 2011, but because our car had not been driven between June and December due to extended out-of-town work, Water Star rightly advised us to wait until either the 3,500 miles or six months had passed. That advice, in and of itself, saved us money. When the time rolled around to finally bring in our car, we did so in a "last minute" sort of way since we needed to drive up to Mount Shasta the next day, and I knew the car had reached the time for its oil change and safety check. Water Star Motors fit us in without any hesitation to their busy schedule and got the work done on the same day. There were a few minor repair items that needed to be done, but they were not emergencies, so we were assured we did not have to feel the pressure to leave the car longer and delay our trip. I always appreciate how this business lets us know what repairs we absolutely do and do not have to do for safety in the present moment.
