I am from Montreal in a temporary work visa in Santa Cruz. I was referred to come here by a work collegue. They recommended me going for a Japanese car based on my needs. I was going to bring a car for pre-purchase inspection. I was glad to know by email in advance to not bring in a car to perform the least amount of pre-purchase inspection to save money. When I brought in a 2018 Corolla from a used car dealership, they discovered that the car oil level was way too high and that the coolant level was low. It was great to have the report with pictures. Then, they recommended doing a leak test to make sure the car's engine was in good shape. Finally, I purchased the car and had it for a couple of days and it seems fine. Overall, it was a great place that seems to be run by nice people. They took time to educated me on the meaning of the test. It was a great experience. Thanks

Visiting from Grass Valley for New Year's. The check engine light on my Mercedes came on. Most Mercedes repair shops closed but fortunately found Water Star. My CL600 has a 12 cylinder engine. Water Star was very knowledgeable, prompt, reasonable and genuinely friendly. Had them perform more than just checking engine light. Very happy, highly recommended.
