Being new to Santa Cruz, I was weary about finding a trust-worthy and reliable auto shop. But a friend recommended Water Star to me, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received. The staff was extremely friendly, honest, and very timely with the repair, and they even gave me a ride to work after dropping the car off. I will choose Water Star for every auto need from here on out!

We recently moved to Santa Cruz and were looking for a place to service our Volvo; somewhere we could trust. Being a computer guy (and definitely not a car guy) I'm always weary of mechanics because I don't know very much about cars and have been made to feel inferior and taken advantage of by mechanics in the past. Water Star Motors was the perfect place for me. They are up front and honest about what they see and explain everything without making me feel dumb or like they were trying to pull one over on me. Great, timely, friendly service... I highly recommend them.

i have a 97 toyota 4runner. water star has fixed several problems and done them well. and when i mentioned a clutch problem (which another mechanic had not been able to fix) they also said that they could not discern the problem, which i appreciated, since they could have tried something and charged me for it, but were honest and didn't try to "fix" something that didn't need fixing.

Water Star Motors -- What do I like about them??? EVERYTHING!!! Just to name a few - They are commited to enviromental practices in their business, they give back to the community, they go beyong the oil change to let me know what I need to pay attention to & fix next (this is a great value because my car is a 1985 MB), Dan is wonderful!!, they fit me into their schedule and their work is done with detail!!! I took my truck in for a tune up and the staff at WSM, did a great job! Not only did they advise me about what work needed to be done currently they also advised me on future issues. They did not try to coerce me into needless work. They also finished work on my truck on time! Dan was especially friendly and and explained everything that the mechanics had completeld. A job well done.
